pm - 5:30 pm, 08/18/2008 - 08/18/2008, AUDITIONS for
MCT "Robin Hood". Approximately 50-60 local
children, grades kindergarten through 12th Grade
will be cast to appear in the show. Children
planning to audition should arrive by the scheduled
starting time and plan to stay for the entire
two-hour session. No advanced preparation is
necessary to take part in the auditions. Rehearsals
will be conducted from 1:00pm to 3:00pm & from 3:30
to 5:30pm every day of the week beginning on Tuesday
8/19 Although not all cast members will be needed at
every session, those auditioning must have a clear
schedule for the entire week, and if selected, be
able to attend all rehearsals for their role. A
detailed rehearsal schedule will be distributed at
the conclusion of the auditions. While there is no
charge for those auditioning, for children who are
cast in the show, there will be a tuition fee of $75
due at the conclusion of the auditions. Location:

6th Annual Woodstock Fine Art Auction. The James
Cox Gallery and the Woodstock Artists Association &
Museum (WAAM) are gearing up for their “6th Annual
Woodstock Fine Art Auction” held Labor Day Weekend.
This year the popular summer benefit will be held
Sunday, August 31 at the Bearsville Theater on Rt.
212, one mile west of the Woodstock Village Green.
According to Cox, new features have been added to
the holiday event. “The Sunday auction will be held
in two stages,” Cox said. The first stage will offer
for sale 110 hand carved, 22 karat water gilded
frames. The frame auction will starts at noon,
followed by the Fine Art auction which begins at 2

2:00pm - 4:00pm, 10/18/08, PAINTED JOURNEYS, Reception for
an exhibition of paintings of the Colorado Plateau by Judy Abbott,
Katharine McKenna and Eva Van Rijn. This show is the culmination of the
artist-in-residencies they received from the Museum of Northern Arizona,
and will travel there in December, 2008. The exhibition will continue
through November 1st, and is open to the public free of charge. Gallery
hours are Wednesday through Saturday from 9 to 3. The School is located
